    96.2 the smooth groove radio is a station designed to give you grown folk music all the time. we now have the old school, rnb, neo soul, inspirational, and reggae all in one place. we also have a few relationship shows to help grown folks. we plan to be your one stop for all things music.

    our history

    Here is the history of our station and how we came to be in existence.
    2016

    Our CEO was given a vision of a station dedicated to grown folk music all the time. As a result 96.2 The Smooth Groove was formed.

    2018

    After briefly merging with our parent station in 2017, the decision was made to separate and run 96.2 The Smooth Groove as a station dedicated once again to the grown and sexy. We play grown folk music all the time and have added an inspirational word daily to get your days on the proper schedule.

    We have our shows designed with our listeners in mind. We have something for everyone; from Gospel to Slow Vibe to Loverz Lane. We also have a couple Relationship Shows and a show where we interview Authors and Artists.

    We are excited about many new syndicated shows that are now part of our network.
